Uni took my baby
Well. God. Damn. If I wasn't of the unwashed heathen persuasion I'd probably be either praying a lot or complaing a lot to the man upstairs. Uni has hit me like someone dropping the collective ~20KG weight of my maths books on my head from a second story window. Oh, yer. You might want to grab some cheese to go with this... Whineing and dieing with Stuart So. Uni. On the one hand, it rocks. I'm finally where I want to be. On the other hand, it's smacking me up like some kinda crack whore. Classes not being where they should be, copious amounts of work all due within a day of itself, massive textbooks which I foolishly lugged to my tutorial when not needed, a tutorial guy who just talks at you rather than really discussing like I'd hoped (This in my 1 hour maths tutorial which is supposed to cover my 4 hours of math lectures... Right.). *Deep Breath* Oh, and my social schedule is going to the dogs. When and how did I get popular and why did no-one tell me it would be this hard?? Oh, and to top it off, I'm coming down with some kinda cold thing during my first week. Now, what's been going right... Incidentally... Has anyone else used Blogger lately? Sometime during my abscence they changed the bold tag to [strong]. Strong? What kinda a moronic socitey are we catering to when we can't just call bold bold?? More thought is suddenly been given to the idea of using some custom software for this posting shizatch... I think Docs still got his software bundeled up from about 2 years ago when I asked for it... Oh, out of curiosity, anyone ever tried "digitizing" a book? I'm contemplating turning all my textbooks into pdfs so they'd be about as heavy as a CD to lug around... Plus, then friends of mine who are short on cash could be easily supplied with any books we have in common. Anyone who has attempted such a feat, please, lemme know. The book thing is also under consideration because... Well... I've been tempted. I've always beena PC guy... But after research, a MAC is actually begining to look better and better. I'm tired of all the little things that go wrong with my windows box... Admittedly it's probably my fault for downloading crap... So the concept of having a Unix based OS on a laptop, which would be a pure work space for me.. Ie. No downloads or game installs.. Or hell, no IM even... Well, it'd be nice. My room is... A mess. Beyond a mess. The only clean space on my floor is a gap that leads from the door to my chair and bed... All other available resources are covered in layer upon layer of stuff... So something which would let me just leave my room, go over to Uni and sit around in the cafeteria sipping coffee like some kinda elitist asshole... It looks alarmingly tempting. On the subject of small, dainty keyboards... Mine is buggered. Alright, so we weren't on the subject. And I don't mean buggered as in dead, I mean the same level of buggered this keyboard has always maintained to my eternal annoyance. As such I have usurped it, plugging a second keyboard in so I can enjoy the simple enjoyment of typing or playing games without flasdhing lights and stickign keys and unhappy beep noises. I would use my Bluetooth setup but that appears to have jiggered itself as well. I'm a quick Bluetooth test away from claiming some warranty shit on it. I'm less than pleased. I am vaguely tempted to drop some money on a small keyboard I've seen elsewhere... But I've decided against it. I've wasted enough money for a few years. Especially considering I'm not at this stage earning my keep. Frivolous expenditure can wait till I'm out of Uni or earning my own way. Speaking of earning my own way, I might be taking up some part time work in a few weeks... As a Masseuse. Yes, that's right boys and girls. I'm studying massage. (Hmmm... The 70c pack of tissues I bought contains the gayest most ornamental tissues EVER.) Swedish Body massage no less. If you are interested in the possibility of a free massage for training possibilities, contact me and I'll see what can be arranged. If you're of the male persuasion and don't like the idea of em touching your butt (Yes, when I say full body I mean full body.) then I also have an attractive friend of the female persuasion doing the course, so drop me a line and specify no male touchytouchy and I'll pass your name on. Hrmmm... What else of note has happened... Ah yes. Red Dwarf II: Kryten. This is going to be a hilarious play by the same people who brought you Human Traffic. Well... Not exactly the same.. But some the same. Anyway, it'll be good... And it's on at the sun room which is essentially across the road from the Doc Residence. Though only for some of it, the rest is on at the Kalamunda Performing Arts Centre. Out whup whup. But it's worth the trip. Oh... And I've taken up dancing. No, not ballet. Screw you hippie. Rock and Roll and Latin (Cha Cha so far.). This isn't of particular note as I don't know anyone holding any samba orientated parties, but it is interesting because there are some attractive female types in the class. And there is a rather serious lack of single fella young types. So, if you're below the age of 30 and want to meet some women who know how to shake it (At the possible eprsonal cost of impending humiliation when you have to shake yours.) then keep an eye on the newspaper. I beleive these kinda places generally advertise in there somewhere. Hrmmm... I think my non-drowsy cold medicine is making me drowsy... I should probably go. Get back to uni and do that study thing I've heard so much about. Oh, and eat. Oh yes... There will be EATING! MUWHAHAHA! HA! Haaaa... Tired. Peace out folks. --Stu I am caught in the boundless love of drugs... For even cold medicine contains speed... ==/BeginPost== |
